New colonies update

Helle, Harry and I are really pleased for you and Robin and your new colony. Very uplifing news to receive this morning. I spent time observing our second colony this morning, and I have to say things appear to be going really well. I had a very quick peek in the observation window and there are very good numbers in the hive, maybe 3 or 4 times as many as we have in our first colony , that had such an unfortunate time in transit. The first colony and their box residing sisters are still plugging away. Harry and I are due to pick up another swarm in Didcot this afternoon, so we will make a decision later whether to leave the box dwellers well alone, or, perhaps, take a chance and open up the hive, clear out the mound of dead bees and coax the box bees into the warre. We would then dispose of the box and hope for the best. Take care all Melvin and Harry
