I came across this article via one of my numerous trawls through the web and wondered why anyone would want to introduce Nanoparticles into ones body. Then I remembered that a lot of cosmetics and face creams and moisturisers contain Nanoparticles to make them easier to absorb into the skin. Nanoparticles can easily breech the blood-brain barrier hence the concern.
Still this is probably the only downside as the net result of this research by Washington University in St Louis is to save a life. Another reason that we should be grateful for bees.
